Horn Trio - no cornets. 5.30


Written in 1992 as a commission by Yamaha-Kemble Music (UK) for the world famous Grimethorpe Colliery Band as a vehicle for the then new Maestro tenor horn. The worked is scored for brass band without cornet section. The three horns are featured in unison and then individually at the start. A central interlude sees them playing chordally against a light accompaniment from euphs and basses - a short cadenza brings the works to a close.
